Toppers Worksheet Studio · Toppers Infocomm Private Limited · Last updated 22 October 2026
Draft: highlighted parts still need to be completed by Toppers Infocomm.
1. Who we are
Toppers Worksheet Studio (“the Service”) is provided by Toppers Infocomm Private Limited (“Toppers”, “we”, “us”), [Registered office address]. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have. It applies to schools, school heads and coordinators, teachers, students and parents who use the Service.
2. The data we collect
- School heads, coordinators and teachers: name, school, email, mobile number (optional), username and password (stored only in protected, hashed form), and the classes, worksheets, marks and feedback they create.
- Students: name, class, level group, username and password (hashed), their answers, marks, teacher feedback, and photos or PDFs of their work that they choose to upload.
- Parents and guardians: name, relationship to the child, email or mobile number, username and password (hashed), and a record of the consent they give.
- Usage information needed to run the Service, such as sign-in times and how many worksheets or AI generations a school uses.
We do not collect students’ email addresses or phone numbers, and we do not ask for more information than the Service needs.
3. Children’s data and parental consent
Most students are children. Schools add students to the Service as part of their teaching. Where the law requires it, including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its rules, verifiable consent of a parent or lawful guardian must be obtained before a child’s data is processed. Schools are responsible for obtaining this consent when they add students; parents can also give and record their consent through a parent account.
We do not use children’s data for advertising, we do not build profiles of children for marketing, and we do not track children across other websites.
4. How we use the data
- To provide the Service: creating, assigning, marking and reporting on worksheets.
- To show progress to the right people: the student, their teachers, their school head or coordinator, and their linked parents.
- To support schools, manage subscriptions and keep the Service secure.
- To generate questions with AI. Only the subject, topic, grade, level and teacher’s instructions are sent to our AI provider, never students’ names or answers.
5. Who can see what
- A student sees only their own worksheets, marks and feedback.
- A teacher sees their own classes. A school head or coordinator sees their own school.
- A parent sees only the children they have linked with the parent code from the school.
- Photos of students’ work are visible only to the student and their teacher.
- Toppers staff can see account details to provide support; they do not see students’ answers or photos through the admin panel.
We do not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers who help us run the Service (such as hosting and the AI question service), under contracts that require them to protect it, or when the law requires us to.
6. Where data is stored and for how long
Data is stored on servers used by Toppers to run the Service. We keep data for as long as the school’s account is active. When a school closes its account, or a teacher removes a student, the related data is deleted from the Service within [number] days, except where the law requires us to keep it longer.
7. Your rights
You may ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, or nominate someone to act for you. Students and parents can ask the school or contact us directly. We will respond within the time required by law.
8. Security
Passwords are stored in hashed form, connections should use HTTPS, and access is limited by role. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will inform you and the authorities as the law requires.
9. Grievance Officer
For questions or complaints about your data, contact our Grievance Officer: [Name of Grievance Officer], [grievance officer email], Toppers Infocomm Private Limited, [Registered office address]. You can also write to [support email address] or call [support phone number].
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will show the new date at the top and, for important changes, tell schools and ask for agreement again where required.
